We firmly believe that inspiration can be found anywhere and in anything. By merely receiving our outside world, it brings us endless possibilities to be inspired and create.

We launch our SoupCan: Pantos Gemstone, a collection inspired by nature, and it is the unpredictability of stone that intrigues us and as a result, guided this capsule. The ways in which nature can take us by surprise is limitless.

There is something exceptional, unique and unrepeatable about stones. It’s the mystery that excites us, as you only ever discover their world, once you open up the stone itself. From one slab of rock to another, no two are ever the same, making every single piece unique.

As what always happens, we found a treasure that we weren’t looking for.

THE FRAMES

The art of designing and crafting exclusive pieces.

TAVAT’s SoupCan Collection is inspired by the way frames were thought to be made in 1930’s America, from soup cans.

We present our collection ‘Pantos Gemstone,’ an effortlessly iconic frame, that embraces both craft and technology, past and future, style and function.

This is a special take on TAVAT’s popular SoupCan frame. It’s more exclusive, with undeniably more style.

Each SoupCan frame has been paired with an acetate color that mimics the colors found in the gemstone.

Well-crafted design looks effortless, but it is a labour of love for all involved in its production.

THE CHAINS

The Traditional Chainmaking Process

To this day, traditional craftsmanship techniques are consistently used in the manufacturing of chains.
During several months, there are multiple handwork touch points, which is carried out step by step by skilful masters to produce just one chain. The result, is a product made with a quality that is incomparable to anything produced mass-market.

Each chain is made from a blend of alloys. Rolling mills, presses and drawing benches, some of which are 100 years old, are used.

The process begins with a wire that is passed through one of these historical machines.

Each chain is then mounted, assembled and each link is soldered to one another, by hand.

The plaques are made with incredible force using a traditional hydraulic press.

Each chain is subjected to a stress test during the so-called ‘aligning’ process. After this, the chain is perfectly straight.

Each chain is plated with either an antiqued gold or an antiqued light gun finishing.

Each chain is paired with adjustable spring rubber ends to cling onto the frame.

To achieve a flawless result, we place a high priority on every little detail. Integrity and perfectionism inspire us to keep raising the bar.

Crafted By Nature.

As the name of the capsule suggests, each chain has been paired with a gemstone. The design of the stone is kept to a minimum, so the materials and their original textures and colors are revealed.

TOURMALINE QUARTZ

Mined in the 1950’s in Brazil and Madagascar.

A variety of Clear Quartz, with naturally occurring needle-like inclusion of Black Tourmaline, also known as Schorl.

Known to balance yin / yang energies and is an effective grounding stone, strengthening the body’s energy fields against external invasion. It harmonises disparate and opposite elements and polarities, and turns negative thoughts and energies into positive ones. Also known for detoxifies the entire body.

Tourmaline purifies one’s own energies and protects from negativity, while Quartz amplifies energies focused through it. This combination makes Tourmaline Quartz a powerful shield- stone that, depending on the desired intent of the wearer, can amplify and return negative energy, like a mirror spell, or can convert the negative energy into positive energy for the wearer.

Mined in the 1950’s in Brazil.

A variety of Clear Quartz, with naturally occurring strands of Rutile.

Known for protection, determination, self- control, strength of will, self-reliance and firmness.

Rutilated Quartz is an illuminator for the soul, promoting spiritual growth. It cleanses and energises the aura. Draws off negative energy and disease, letting go of the past. Rutilated Quartz gives protection against the ill thoughts of others. It helps to reach the root of problems and facilitates transitions and a change of direction. Soothes dark moods, relieves fears, phobias and anxiety. Promotes forgiveness at all levels.

LABRADORITE

Mined in Brazil and Sri Lanka

A Feldspar mineral, often called ‘Rainbow Moonstone.’

Known for transformation, strength of will, stimulates imagination and is calming.

A stone of transformation, Labradorite is a useful companion through change, imparting strength and perseverance. It balances and protects the aura, raises consciousness and grounds spiritual energies. Excellent for strengthening intuition. Powerful in revealing the truth behind illusions, Labradorite banishes fears and insecurities,
and strengthens faith in the self and trust in the universe. It stimulates the imagination and calms an overactive mind, developing enthusiasm and new ideas.
